Payment, Shipping & Returns Policy

Payment Policy

We accept secure online payments through approved payment processors available at checkout, including major credit and debit cards and other supported digital payment methods.

  • Payment is required in full at the time of purchase

  • Orders will not be processed or shipped until payment has been successfully received and cleared

  • Prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated

  • We reserve the right to cancel any order due to pricing errors, suspected fraud, or payment issues

International Orders

  • All international orders require 100% prepayment

  • Net terms are not available for first-time customers

  • Payment must clear prior to order release or carrier pickup

  • Third-party services (freight, insurance, customs brokerage, taxes) are not bundled into product invoices for first-time international customers

Shipping Policy

Order Processing

  • Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days

  • Custom, prototype, or low-volume production items may require additional lead time (clearly stated on the product page or quotation)

Domestic Shipping (United States)

  • Shipping methods and rates are calculated at checkout

  • Tracking information will be provided once the order has shipped

  • Estimated delivery times are carrier estimates and are not guaranteed

International Shipping

At this time, Schaner Designs primarily ships within the United States. International orders may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

For approved international orders:

  • First-time international shipments are fulfilled under Incoterms® 2020: EXW – Omaha, NE, USA

  • The customer is responsible for:

    • Carrier selection

    • Freight charges

    • Insurance

    • Customs consideration and clearance

    • Import VAT, duties, and destination taxes

  • Schaner Designs provides:

    • Commercial invoice

    • Packing list

    • Coordination for carrier pickup at our facility

Schaner Designs does not act as an intermediary for freight, insurance, or customs-related services for first-time international customers.

Exceptions may be considered for established customers at our discretion.

Delivery & Carrier Responsibility

  • Estimated delivery times are carrier estimates and not guaranteed

  • Schaner Designs is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, customs authorities, or other factors outside our control

  • Risk of loss transfers in accordance with the applicable Incoterms

Shipping Address Accuracy

  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information

  • Schaner Designs is not responsible for orders shipped to incorrectly provided addresses

Returns & Refunds Policy

Eligibility

Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Items must be:

  • Unused

  • Uninstalled

  • In original condition and packaging

Non-Returnable Items

  • Custom-built, modified, or special-order items

  • Electrical components that show signs of installation or use

  • Items damaged due to improper installation or misuse

Return Process

  • Customer must contact Schaner Designs before returning any item

  • Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable

Refunds

  • Refunds are issued after inspection and approval of the returned item

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method

  • Processing time is typically 5–10 business days after return approval

Warranty Policy

Limited Warranty Coverage

We provide a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

  • Warranty period: 6 months from date of delivery

  • Applies to mechanical and structural components only

What Is Covered

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Assembly-related issues present at delivery

What Is Not Covered

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Damage from misuse, abuse, or improper installation

  • Electrical damage caused by incorrect wiring or incompatible drivers

  • Modifications or repairs performed by anyone other than Schaner Designs

  • Use outside of stated specifications

Warranty Claims

  • Proof of purchase is required

  • Customer must contact Schaner Designs with a description of the issue

  • At our discretion, we may:

    • Repair the product

    • Replace the product

    • Issue a partial or full refund

Limitation of Liability

Our products are intended for integration into larger systems. The customer is responsible for proper application, installation, and system-level safety.

Schaner Designs is not liable for:

  • Downtime

  • Loss of profits

  • Consequential or incidental damages
